Would using adf.ly for traffic help imrpove seo in any way?

it does provide a legitimate traffic source so it raises your traffic rank + alexa rank, and there is possibility of people sharing it and you getting backlinks out of them finding your ad so in a sense yes it does. just not as much as directly getting backlinks.
