I'm not sure what the point would be of removing your Facebook. Each is a seperate entity as far as a social network is concerned. You may get less traffic to LinkedIn if some of your friends are connected to both, or if you usually use one of these sites to refer to the other. 

I usually try to link all my social networks together. That way, its like one huge overall network all joined as one, so to speak. My people can meet each other from one social site to the next.

As of now it is around 8.6% and I think the percentage will decrease as google+ grows.
