How many visitors a day have you had to your websites before you started making money on affiliate products?

I should make it clear that I am not talking about Google AdSense here. I am talking about portals such as Commission Junction where you can apply to affiliate programs to make money.

I also am talking about individual affiliate programs to which you may belong. How much traffic on average daily did you have before you started to make money. I'd also like to know approximately how much money a day, week, or month. I'm just curious.

Numbers are not that important. What counts is why they have come to your site and how.
If you are super ninja and tricked a visitor who has no interest in the subject of your site, he will leave quickly and avoid coming back. However if you arise passion in a fan of your website you can easily make monex.
Focus on quality and get visitors who are really interested in your site and numbers will not be an issue.

Agree with the above response. You may have a website that receives 5,000 unique visitors per month and make little or no money from your affiliate programs.

In my own experience, Commision Junction is a waste of time because you might get as many or as little leads, clicks or sales that are usually deducted from your balance when the advertiser is flagged as "deactivated." I was never able to get a single payment from them in about 5 years.

Other individual affiliate programs may work, but it's all about your niche. If you have a fan page and you add Allposters, you are probably chosing the right affiliate program to target your audience, but they will hardly buy SEO tools, just to name an example.

One big mistake that webmasters repeat over and over is pay too much attention to the number of visitors they receive instead of being practical promoting, promoting, and promoting a website so they can start making money from affiliate programs as soon as possible.

Check your site stats is fine, as long as you are not doing it on a daily basis and several time a days. The time you waste doing such thing can be used to promote your links, that's what really matters.
