It depends on your business niche, but nevertheless you will get some amount of traffic depending on you daily budget. I suggest you start with a different ads promoter and then turn to facebook. Try Adwords from google, its the biggest of its kind, with the right keyword and budget it will immensely help your business.

I think it's possible that it would. I was considering trying it out. I don't have a high ad budget but I wouldn't see why it would hurt. I know when MySpace was still very popular (and still is) that used to be the place to have ads as well.
