Yahoo Answers are nofollow so they are not as good as they could be. I think once you reach Level 3 account they become follow, not sure though.

But the way I look at it, a link is a link. I think they all do some good. You might get some traffic from yahoo answers as well and it will help get your page indexed in search engines to say the least.

Yahoo Answers links are nofollow so other then traffic you wont get much from them.

If you are trying to increase your backlink count, they won't help since they are nofollow. But if you just want traffic to your site, they are great for that.

Yahoo Answers does not provide you with backlinks, but is a terrific way to drive traffic to your site and increase your revenue if you plan carefully a marketing strategy.

Spamming Yahoo Answers is not allowed though, but when you are promoting a product or service relevant to the question alonside the required aid, they don't penalize such posts.
